We welcome fun-filled field trips; these involve trips to our office from local preschool programs and trips that our dentists and team make to local elementary schools. The in-office visits give approximately thirty children the opportunity to visit the office. We have four “stations” set up; at each station, the children learn about good nutrition, how to brush, why we need our teeth, and what to expect when they visit Dr. Cleereman and Dr. Veizaj or another dental professional. To complete the visit, we gather in the waiting room for a nutritional snack and a quick video about our friend “Dudley” and how he teaches his friends the importance of good dental care. At the end, each child is given a goody bag with a toothbrush, toothpaste, and floss.
The visits that we make to schools may involve one or two classrooms, or the entire school! This visit is a presentation on how to brush, what to expect at a dental visit, good nutrition, what a cavity is, and much more. The children are then given a goody bag. The purpose of these visits is to educate children on the importance of good dental care. If you would like more information, please feel free to contact our dental office in Wyandotte, Michigan.
